Milan Hop On The Keirrison Bandwagon

Italian giants AC Milan have joined the race to sign Brazilian sensation Keirrison.

Barcelona and Liverpool have already admitted their interest in the 20-year-old Brazilian with AC Milan now joining the race for Keirrison's signature.

Keirrison currently plays for Brazilian giants Palmeiras, on loan from Cortiba who own 20 percent of his contract. The other 80 percent of the striker's contract is owned by Traffic Sports Marketing, the same company who own the rights to Manchester United's Carlos Tevez.

The player, who has already netted 13 times in 10 games for Palmeiras, expressed his own desire to one day play for La Liga leaders Barcelona. However, his interests may soon turn elsewhere as his idol Ronaldo's old club AC Milan have shown their interest in the youngster.

Speaking via telephone on Brazilian talk show Bem Amigos, Rossoneri technical director Leonardo revealed his club's interest.

"The reason for my call is not to speak to Ronaldo," Leonardo said.

"I wanted to call Keirrison.

"Ronaldo has already played for Milan and scored goals, now it is time for Keirrison. It impresses me that he can score with his left and score with his right. He has the ability to dribble and has a perfect touch."

Flattered by the kind words of Leonardo, Keirrison still remained firm in his dreams of one day playing for Barca.

"If I was to pick a team to join from Europe, I would like to play for Barcelona, like Ronaldo and Romario. It would be great to play in Spain.

"I have watched Romario and Ronaldo play for them in the past and that made me aspire to want to play for a great club like Barca.

"I have also dreamt about playing alongside someone like Lionel Messi one day."
